About this sample

This is a sample of my instructional design work: a self-led course, about 32 minutes long, for beginners with no audio background. It was built from a written course outline, with a learning objective behind every screen.

Design choices

• Show it before explaining it: most ideas have something to play with first.
• Every sound you hear is also shown on screen as a waveform, spectrum, meter, or diagram.
• One knowledge check per module, then a scored assessment where a miss links back to the lesson.
• Keyboard accessible, with reduced-motion support and text alternatives for diagrams.

How it was built

Hand-built in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript so the activities could use real audio. For client work I author in Rise, Storyline 360, and Intellum Evolve.
